AUDREY BLUE!

Happy Friday all! I hope your all ready for the fabulous bank holiday weekend??!I most certainly am. I 've stocked up on food, wine and films and intend to rest in bed for most of the 3 days!!...

I had the nicest compliment ever wearing this yesterday when my uncle told me I looked more like Audrey Hepburn, every day. Honestly, you really coul'nt have said anything nicer to me, and i've smiling with glee ever since! I did however, have a harsh reality check when I went to boss model agency an hour ago. Honestly, there's nothing like walking in a model agency for you to feel like an overweight midget!!

Anyway, this Audrey special consists on my favourite Morgan trousers, of which I lavishly have 4 pairs!! ( And I'm glad I invested in so many now Morgan is sadly closed!) Im wearing a sheer, see through Versace top, Topshop metallic knitted dress with a cropped jacket from Primark, my gold vintage choker and a belt which I have'nt the foggiest where I bought it from!
Right, Im off to start the weekend by cooking fajitas, opening the vino and listening to music far too loudly!... Enjoy!!!...

KITSCH CLEANER!

Good Afternoon! I'm feeling much better today, recovering nicely in time for the bank holiday weekend!

With regards to Yesterday's outfit, I thought I looked stylish in my kitsch 70s outfits but with todays fresh view, I fear I may look a lot like a red nosed cleaner and not quite Margo in "The Good Life" as planned!...

The outfit consists of a knitted H&M polo neck with a 70's vintage crinoline mini dress ( £15 from that fantastic Rags to Bitches again!) teamed with my classic dark denim, Miss sixty flares which cost me a pretty penny considering how little I wear them! I'm not a fan of denim as such and rarely wear it to be honest!
The outfit is accessorized with a retro belt from Primark (£2) and my well loved italian leather tan cowboy boots which you can just see peeping out. On that note, have a lovely evening and a happy weekend eve, I'm off to powder my red nose.

ANIMAL PRINT, FLORALS AND LACE!

Good afternoon! I hope you've had a lovely day and your not suffering like me, of a stinking cold and sore throat! :( It's really slowing me down with all this sneezing malarky and looking for tissues! and if you can't see my big red nose in this photo, you certainly will do with tomorrows picture!...

Anywho, Yesterdays outfit consists of my favourite shrug, another investment piece for £120 from Selfridges. I love the fact it combines 2 of my favourite things- animal print and vintage florals- not an easy task to combine both elements sucessfully without creating something quite hideous!
I kept the base of the outfit simple with a classic Morgan halter neck and black Pretty Disturbia leggings under an unusual, lace, uneven hem skirt I bought for £13 from Elite dress agency, in Manchester which I've not yet worn before so enjoyed doing so (There's nothing like wearing something for the first time is there!)
I teamed the ensemble with some dusky pink plastic boots which are cheap, comfortable and the perfect shade of blush to match my nose! Let's just hope my cold goes in time for the bank holiday weekend!....

BEAUTIFUL INVESTMENT BAGS!

Good afternoon! This is a bit of a late in the day post for me but my cold has taken its toll so everything is taking far longer than it should do today!

This is yesterday's outfit which is quite smart as I had a few important meetings, (which wen't brilliantly well I'm pleased to say!)
I wore this outfit with classic black heels in the day and then switched them for my very porn star over the knee PVC boots (£39.99) to go out for Bellini's in the evening. These boots never fail to cause a stir when I wear them and I love them that much I own another identical pair to style for shoots.

The polo neck is a cheapy from ebay, teamed with a classic black dress from Zara (£34.99) which is decorated with satin covered buttons to the centre front. I'm wearing a vintage red and gold belt with a matching neck choker and last but not least, is my favourite item of all- my investment buy bag. A mere bargain at £600 from Giorgio Armani, and it really is the best thing I've ever bought as its an absolute dateless classic, which dresses up any outfit and never fails to make me feel special when I carry it.
Worth every penny and more....

CLASSIC CARS AND CLASSIC CLOTHES!

As the sun shone brightly on Saturday, I felt all summery yesterday morn so decided to wear this little strappy vintage dress to the Classic Car show at Tatton Park.
We had a great day and I fell in love with a Ferrari and a Lotus Esprit, both of which are now on my Christmas list (for the next 50 years anyway)
We love going to the car shows and would really recommend going to one if you've never been before. My love for classic cars and knowledge on them is becoming ever stronger as my aim to find the perfect classic continues! (There's so much choice and good value!!!)

Anywho, the outfit. The dress was a quirky find in Ryan Vintage on Oxford street in Manchester and the brown velour vintage belt, is a bargain in Rags to Bitches for £10, teamed with a thick gold vintage neck choker from ebay for £15, and again, my fave knee high boots which I really need to give a rest! Rags to Bitches really is one of the best shops in Manchester and my favourite place to shop for vintage. Not only are their clothes quirky, the shop delightful and their newsletters a great read, They do fantastic events like clothes swaps and retro dance nights. I'm particularly looking forward to their charity ball at Manchester Museum in a few weeks... what to wear for it though, I just can't decide!.....

PRETTY PROMO!

Well, this fine Saturday morning, 3 of the Pretty Disturbia girls and I, were up bright and early, giving out flyers on Market Street (The main shopping street in Manchester) to promote our 30% off summer offer! We had a good laugh giving out our discount stickered look books, in the sunshine, all dressed stylishly in this Pretty Disturbia designer outfit!

This summery ensemble can bought from the online store and consists of our hand dip dyed logo top (One of our best sellers) for £27.99 and our Blurred floral print gather skirt for £44.99 which are teamed with bargain plum tights from Primark for 98p and some classic black patent T-bar shoes. With regards to accessories, I wore chunky stud earrings and twisty snake necklace, which I bought from Portabello road market, London a few months ago for £10, for which I always get complimented on.
The outfits were very well received by the passers by in Manchester and we even made an old man "excited", which all made us feel a little ill and a lot uncomfortable! O dear,.......

AN OUTFIT FOR £1!

Unbelievably, its taken me 6 photo attempts to get a photo thats worth showing! (I am so damn unphotogenic! haha....)
Amazingly, This fabulous find of a dress was only a £1!!! in a fantastic vintage shop on Oxford street, Manchester called Retro Rehab. They have a discount rail which I frequently pick up quirky finds! I strongly recommend you visit it if you can.

I kept today's outfit simple with such a bright dress by doing bright eye make up and by wearing a stunning vintage diamante necklace from the 1950's which I got from a car boot sale in Clitheroe for £7... Expensive when you compare it to my dress hey! And slightly unfortunate you can hardly see it under my knotty curls!
Again, I wore my (truly loved) brown, knee high boots to punk it up a bit. I love a bargain outfit, and I certainly think I got one with this little number.

GIFT WRAPPED RETRO!

Well, I will be doing 2 posts today, covering todays and yesterdays outfits! Yesterdays was a little on the adventurous side with this huge bow around my neck but why not hey! ;)

I'm such a fan of tight vintage polo necks to help hide my double chin-age, but do like to jazz them up, so I teamed this Marks & Spencer's vintage classic with a retro print, H&M neck scarf which I got in the sale for a bargainous £2! I really do wish I could find more of the fine ribbed polo necks but I even struggle to find them on ebay...

Anywho, The skirt was from a car boot sale in Middleton for £4 and its by a brand called Diva (and cost a fair bit new apparently). The leggings are of course Pretty Disturbia (dip dye leggings for £22.99) under my brown, fantastic, plastic over the knee, cheapy boots which I need another pair of!!!
You just can't beat over the knee boots... comfort, warmth and kinkiness rolled into one. A must have for AW.

VINTAGE ROSE (and weird woohoo hair)

Well, I don't know about you but I'm well and truly ready for the weekend, so happy weekend eve all!

Todays outfit is overwhelmed by a big vintage style bow around my neck but more on that tomorrow!!
Yesterdays outfit, was this lil ensemble which consists of a gorgeous 50's style Sportmax olive skirt, made of stunning soft silk which I bought from Elite dress agency in Manchester for £20 (bargain!) On top I have a baby blue, fine egyptain cotton long sleeve top and vintage cropped button through top, which I picked up from a car boot sale for 50p! (ultimate bargain) Accessories include, classic chunky pearls and matching earrings from Next with peep toe shoes from Dolcis in the closing down sale. ( God, I loved that shop as a teenager, I still can't believe its shut!)
As well as a pink belt from a vintage 50's skirt I own.

I was going for a vintage rose look which did look altogether better at the start of the day, rather when the photo was in fact take at 1am this morning. You could therefore, say its one of todays outfits really... and what is going on with my stay hair on the left? I'm sure most other people who do this style recording at least perfect a photo before posting it!
Anywho, I intend to stay in for once this evening and rest my tired party feet.
Until then, have a lovely evening x

CHLOE CUMMING'S & PRETTY DISTURBIA

Just to update you, we're all very excited here in the office about our Spring 10 collection, which we recently did a fashion shoot for, with the stunning Chloe Cummings from Britiain's Next top model!
Chloe, who is also Abi Clancey's cousin is a big fan of the Pretty Disturbia collection after wearing it fabulously at Liverpool fashion week, earlier this year!
We will soon be posting some of the fantastic shots from the shoot! She look's truly stunning as a burlesque beauty, and the clothes are right on trend as confirmed by Draper's Key predicted trends for the season!!...

HAPPY MIDWEEK STYLE UPDATE!

Well, I hope your having a truly fabulous day! I have lots of fab things planned this week, including Yo- Sushi in Selfridges this evening and I thoroughly enjoyed Coctails in The Modern at Urbis last night! I can strongly recommend their Bellini for those who have not yet had the pleasure!

I heart to go out midweek to celebrate a day closer to the ever fabulous weekend! Anywho, onto the important subjects, like fashion! (of course...)
Here I am, with a funny head tilt and slightly dodgy hair, sporting Yesterday's outfit which includes a vintage style fitted polo neck which I bought from Hungary, our Pretty Disturbia blurred floral gather skirt (Available from www.prettydisturbia.com for £44.99) with matching crop top (Which is not yet available from the online store, but will be from early September and will cost £27.99) teamed with pink lace tights and matching calf boots (which are both comfortable and classic... for plastic!)
I have recently grown a fine liking for crop tops as they are fantasic for layering if your not keen on showing your midriff, (like moi!!) So they're not just for skinny model types, and are versatile over long sleeve tops and polo necks in winter too! I personally hope the crop top is here to stay.....
